Weekend music for you.

Here are some old forgotten songs from hindi cinema. Enjoy the evergreen music for all times.
1- Aajaa chhai kaley badra.
2- Kaun aaya ke nigahon mein
3- Chehre pe khushi chha jaatee hai
4- Dil ka bhanwar kare pukaar

Weekend Verses.

              Love

Two thousand cigarettes.

A hundred miles
from wall to wall.

An eternity and a half of vigils
blanker than snow.

Tons of words
old as the tracks
of a platypus in the sand.

A hundred books we didn't write
A hundred pyramids we didn't build.

Sweepings.

Dust.

Bitter
as the beginning of the world.

Believe me when I say
it was beautiful.

S&P CNX Nifty for 30 August 2012.

The Nifty did slide in the expected lines as indicated by technical charts as mentioned in our previous post. It continues to be weak and may further go down to as far as 5189 unless it trades above the 5301 mark from here onwards. On the upside, the resistances are 5328, 5350 and then 5378

Sunday, August 26, 2012

S&P CNX Nifty for the week 27 August 2012 to 31 August 2012.

For the Nifty to continue in its bullish mode, it will have to trade above the 5434 mark with good volumes. However, the technical indicators are suggesting that the market may loose some ground in which case 5350 should act as a support for the bullish consolidation. However, below 5350, the next support is at 5285 below which fresh shorts will be built.
The market may see some volatile moves as the settlement of the Futures and Options is on 30 August 2012. Short term traders are advised to not to carry over their positions overnight till the settlement for August is over.

The weekend verses.

      NEAR

Far,
We are near,
meet in the rain,
which falls here;
gathered by light,
air;
falls there where you are,
I am;
lips to those drops now on yours,
nearer...

Absence the space we yearn in,
clouds drift,
cluster,
east to west,
north,
south;
your breath in them;
they pour,
baptise;
same sun burning through harvest to rainfall on skin,
there,
far;
my mouth opening to spell your near name.

S&P CNX Nifty for 24 August 2012.

In order to continue with the current uptrend, the benchmark index will have to trade consistently above 5429. However, the undertone continues to be bullish.

After forty tumultuous years  of drug abuse and infighting, Aerosmith is one of the last rock bands still performing. Hear out living on the edge.

The benchmark index did perform in the expected lines confirming the bullish undertone. Below 5398, it might go down to 5375 level on account of unwinding of longs.

Monday, August 20, 2012

S&P CNX Nifty for 28 August 2012 to 31 August 2012.

If the Nifty manages to hold above 5370 with good volumes then it will consolidate with bullish bias towards 5404 and beyond. But the chances of unwinding of long positions cannot be ruled out on account of the settlement of Futures and Options on 30 August in an already truncated week, in which case the market may find support at 5351 and then 5327. The technical indicators, however, indicate a bullish undertone.

INR-USD ahead

The Indian Rupee will continue to be weak and trade with a bearish bias till it falls below INR 51.90 per US Dollar.

S&P CNX Nifty for the week 13 August 2012 to 17 August 2012

The market did bounce from 5294 mark which was a little above our support of 5285 in the last post, but the bullish trend can only be confirmed if it trades conclusively above 5348 in which case it is poised to go to 5380 and 5440. However, if the market falls below 5304, it may test the support of 5285 and then 5246 below which all the recent gains will be wiped out.

Cognitive dissonance.

Guys here's weekend music for you, enjoy.
Whisky in the jar.

the lyrics
 As I was a goin' over the far famed Kerry mountains
I met with captain Farrell and his money he was counting
I first produced my pistol and I then produced my rapier
Saying "Stand and deliver" for he were a bold deceiver

Chorus:
Mush-a ring dum-a do dum-a da
Whack for my daddy-o. Whack for my daddy-o
There's whiskey in the jar

I counted out his money and it made a pretty penny
I put it in me pocket and I took it home to Jenny
She sighed and she swore that she never would deceive me
But the devil take the women for they never can be easy

(Chorus)

I went up to my chamber, all for to take a slumber
I dreamt of gold and jewels and for sure 't was no wonder
But Jenny drew me charges and she filled them up with water
Then sent for captain Farrell to be ready for the slaughter

(Chorus)

't was early in the morning, just before I rose to travel
Up comes a band of footmen and likewise captain Farrell
I first produced me pistol for she stole away me rapier
I couldn't shoot the water, so a prisoner I was taken

(Chorus)

Now there's some take delight in the carriages a rolling
and others take delight in the hurling and the bowling
but I take delight in the juice of the barley
and courting pretty fair maids in the morning bright and early

(Chorus)

If anyone can aid me 't is my brother in the army
If I can find his station in Cork or in Killarney
And if he'll go with me, we'll go rovin' through Killkenny
And I'm sure he'll treat me better than my own a-sporting Jenny

(Chorus)

The weekend verses.

 Love, let us wait

Love, let us wait to watch our glory:
Things high and new over nature.
You see how sweetness showers on her,
See the light heaven casts over the land.

Through this shadow, enclosed by hills,
How gently she moves her mask
Of crimson clothing, gold.

Each sprig of grass, the thousand bright
Flowers scattered in shadow under the stooped oak,
Beg the weight of her walking.

And heaven, pierced with sharp stars,
Burns with desire, makes itself altogether new;
Makes itself clear and brilliant.

Creditors have always lost and they will loose this time too.

Greece or US. India or anywhere else. Guys!  If you're not going to pay tax, your government is going to screw your deposits by printing more money. If you're going to save, banks are going to increase the money by leveraging loans against your deposits, inflating all assets. In either case, you, as creditor, are bound to loose. Your purchasing power's always going to get reduced.

S&P CNX Nifty on 9 August 2012.

If the Nifty dips below the 5318 mark on opening trade and remains there for longer then it might test the support of 5285. However, in order to resume the bullish trend it has been exhibiting recently, the index will have to overcome the resistance at 5349 conclusively.

Oh Jonah Lehrer.....

It is stated that he fabricated Bob Dylan quotes in his new book 'Imagine'. His publisher has removed his latest book from sale.

Monday, August 6, 2012

Having it all is not the point.

In a world that throws so many bomb shells, uniquely challenging each of us, why are we comparing our lives to anyone else's? Read on.

S&P CNX Nifty for the week 6 August 2012 to 10 August 2012.

The market did manage to stand above the resistance of 5158 in the very opening sessions and so the Nifty did behave in the expected lines of taking a shot at 5227. If the Nifty manages to hold above the closing of last week i.e. the 5215 mark then it may overcome the immediate resistance of 5265 and go towards 5315. The immediate support is at 5165 and then 5110. A dip below 5110 will see the return of bears as new shorts will be built. However the outlook for the next week is consolidation with a bullish bias.

Give positive thinking a break.

Telling yourself that everything must work out is poor preparation for those times when it doesn’t. For the followers of Tony Robbins  here we have the positive power of negative thinking.

The weekend verses.

Within ten seconds

I knew I wanted to kiss your eyelids.
This is why I kept staring
Past you, as if to a cold horizon.
You were not boring me, as you thought.
I was looking to where you stood
Smelling of rain, with naked breasts.
Naked, defenceless, needing defence.
It was not as you thought,
You were piqued and moved away.
I was the one who by silence,
Staring, no move, moved away.

Where pine trees touch water.
I am
Men who tie themselves to masts.
You are
Sirens with delicate eyelids.
Penelope is white with lust.
Molpe, the deck has tears
And the rock has tears.
Even the sun has molten tears.

Meeting, never to meet again.
